The Board of County Commissioners will hold a virtual meeting on November 22, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. Text Amendment - Unified Development Ordinance Text Amendment, Updates for Applications and Permits (TC2100004): The purpose of this set of amendments is to establish within the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) the official application procedures for street naming, street closing, and annexation requests that are processed by the Planning Department, relocate and update the statutory development agreements application procedures, and update certain zoning map change procedures.
Street Closing (no public hearing) - Akzo Boulevard Street Closing (SC1900001) - The Board of County Commissioners will consider a resolution to petition the NCDOT to remove a portion of Akzo Boulevard (SR 2602) from the Secondary Road Maintenance System. If NCDOT agrees to do so, a public hearing will be set and then held by the Board of County Commissioners to determine whether or not to close the street section.
Substantial changes to the proposed actions may be made following the public hearing for each case. On-demand video may be watched once it is uploaded to the County's website.Durham City CouncilMonday, December 6, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. The Durham City Council will hold an in-person and virtual public meeting on December 6, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. to hear the following requests: Annexation - 2211 Page Road (BDG2100007) located at 2211 Page Road, is a request for voluntary contiguous annexation of one parcel of land totaling 10.15 acres.
Zoning Map Change - 518 Martin Luther King Jr. (Z2000017) located at 518 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, is a request to change the zoning from Commercial General with a Development Plan (CG(D)) to Residential Suburban-Multifamily with a Development Plan (RS-M(D)) and a proposed change of the Future Land Use Map designation from Commercial to Medium-High Density Residential.
