The Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing, August 26, 2019, at 7:00 p.m., 2nd floor, Commissioners' Meeting Room, 200 E. Main Street, to consider the following:
- Patterson Place Compact Suburban Design District (TC1800009). Amendments to Article 16, Design Districts, and other associated sections, to establish new standards for the proposed Compact Suburban Design (CSD) zoning district, and other technical amendments to current Design District zoning standards.

The Durham Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on August 27, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. in the Committee Room, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 101 City Hall Plaza, to hear the following requests:
- Case B1900022 - City: A minor special use permit for a place of worship within a residential zoning district. The subject site is located at 6807, 6811 & 6815 Matthews Road, is zoned Rural Residential (RR); Lake Michie/Little River Protected Area (M/LR-B) and in the Rural Tier.
- Case B1900031 – City: A request for a reasonable accommodation from the side yard setback in order to construct an addition to a single-family residence. The subject site is located at 6 Sandhurst Court, is zoned Residential Suburban-10 (RS-10); Eno River Critical Area (E-A) and in the Suburban Tier.
