   My name is Officer Lauzon with DPD. I am doing my NPE project on the dirtbikes and ATVs riding on the streets of Durham. Obviously this is an ongoing issue. I was curious if your site has received any complaints about the issue. If so what streets or parks are people indicating that they are seeing these dirtbikes and ATVs? 2. Convert racquetball courts to Squash courts at Durham Parks and Rec centers

   Racquetball courts are maintained regularly, heated and cooled everyday but seldom used. The cost to convert can be borne by squash enthusiasts that I can help find. People who want to play squash...

   Racquetball courts are maintained regularly, heated and cooled everyday but seldom used. The cost to convert can be borne by squash enthusiasts that I can help find. People who want to play squash drive for an hour to play at the closest public squash courts in Cary, Lifetime Fitness. Racquetball is pretty much dead and squash is on a meteoric rise with public facilities opening everywhere. One is planned in North Raleigh with >4 courts. The a club opened recently in Charlotte with 4 courts. We have the space and should adapt to the changing times. Duke University built facilities for their private use as student demand on campus rose for this international sport.

People who want to play squash drive for an hour to play at the closest public squash courts in Cary, Lifetime Fitness. Racquetball is pretty much dead and squash is on a meteoric rise with public facilities opening everywhere. One is planned in North Raleigh with >4 courts.    There is a lot of traffic due to the nearby neighborhoods and new housing developments being built. A small grocery store like ALDI, Lidl or Trader Joe's. The taxes and revenue would benefit the city and provide jobs for the area. It will also provide a variety of food choices nearby. While I shop at Food Lion and Harris Teeter, it would be nice to have different options for food choices.

   There is a lot of traffic due to the nearby neighborhoods and new housing developments being built. A small grocery store like ALDI, Lidl or Trader Joe's. While I shop at Food Lion and Harris Teeter, it would be nice to have different options for food choices.

   Let's grow food in our public spaces and engage our community! Food can get people talking and inspire them to take action. There is plenty of unused space in Durham which could be planted with edibles for all to enjoy. Gardens with vegetables and fruits would be places for all people to work and talk with each other, and could provide learning opportunities and encourage people to engage with local businesses and city/county services. Outside of the Health and Human Services building, the courthouse, the new police station, other unused land and small sections of current green spaces (the park between E. Morgan St, E. Chapel Hill St and N. Mangum!) would be great spaces to start. The program could grow to include schools and local businesses.    The traffic on Mangum Street is out of control. I have lived on it for 11 years now and can't remember ever seeing anyone pulled over for speeding. If the crosswalks at Broadway and Seminary were raised I think it would help slow drivers down. Although, it may make it more fun for the dirt bike riders! 😁

   The traffic on Mangum Street is out of control. I have lived on it for 11 years now and can't remember ever seeing anyone pulled over for speeding.
