This project will replace deteriorating waterlines that were installed in the 1920s and 1930s. Approximately 5,500 feet of waterlines within the East Main Street area will be replaced. Also, existing water meter boxes will be upgraded to current standards. The project is estimated to cost approx. $2.5 million and will be paid for by previously authorized capital improvement program (CIP) funds. Waterline construction is anticipated to last approximately 6 months.
