NOTE: DPD's rate for off-duty security is $35 per hour for a three hour minimum. If more than three officers are needed, a supervisor is required (at a rate of $40/hr) The holiday rate for all officers is $45/hr.

Events planned to take exclusively on private property do not need a special event permit, but they may require a temporary use permit from the City-County Planning Department. Click link above.

Guidelines
Read the guidlines below to indicate your awareness of the following:
Partnership requests will be reviewed by various units of DPD as applicable to determine if your special event and/or initiative aligns with current priorities, timelines, benchmarks and resources - both staffing and fiscal.
Special Events Permit (noted above) is required, processing and issuance of the permit can take from 15 to 45 days.
The Police Department reserves the right to decline or terminate participation in a special event or partnership.
