Christopher Iannuzzi

Deputy Chief Iannuzzi began his career with the Durham Fire Department in 1996 and was named Deputy Fire Chief in 2013.  He has a BA in Economics with a Minor in Management and is a graduate of the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program

Deputy Chief Iannuzzi assists in the development of departmental goals and objectives, directs programs, conducts research, prepares and reviews reports, develops policies and is the media liaison for emergency events. He provides support and oversight to the assistant chiefs and ensures that bi-directional communication occurs between divisions to ensure cooperation and presentation of the department as one seamless organization.
